Step 1: Create New Spreadsheet

  1. Go to Google Sheets
  2. Create new spreadsheet
  3. Name it “Job Search Tracker 2025”

Step 2: Create Sheets

  1. Rename Sheet1 to “Applications”
  2. Add new sheets: “Weekly Metrics”, “Company Research”, “Interview Prep”, “Networking”, “Offers”

Step 3: Format Headers

  1. Bold all header rows
  2. Freeze header rows (View > Freeze > 1 row)
  3. Add filters (Data > Create a filter)
  4. Color-code headers (light blue background)

Step 4: Add Data Validation

  1. Status column: Create dropdown with status options
  2. Tier column: Create dropdown (1, 2, 3)
  3. Remote Policy: Create dropdown (Remote-first, Remote-friendly, Hybrid, Office)

Step 5: Add Conditional Formatting
