Step 1: Create New Spreadsheet
- Go to Google Sheets
- Create new spreadsheet
- Name it “Job Search Tracker 2025”
Step 2: Create Sheets
- Rename Sheet1 to “Applications”
- Add new sheets: “Weekly Metrics”, “Company Research”, “Interview Prep”, “Networking”, “Offers”
- Bold all header rows
- Freeze header rows (View > Freeze > 1 row)
- Add filters (Data > Create a filter)
- Color-code headers (light blue background)
Step 4: Add Data Validation
- Status column: Create dropdown with status options
- Tier column: Create dropdown (1, 2, 3)
- Remote Policy: Create dropdown (Remote-first, Remote-friendly, Hybrid, Office)
- Status = “Offer”: Green background
- Status = “Rejected”: Red background
- Status = “Interview”: Yellow background
- Follow-up Date < TODAY(): Orange background (overdue)
